Tennis set betting and correct set scores

A set-winner market and a correct match score in sets have different outcome spaces.

Specify the period

First-set winner concerns the first set, even if that player later loses the match. A correct score such as 2–1 concerns the completed match result in sets under the specified format.

Coverage matters

Two player prices can describe a complete set-winner market. They do not describe all correct-score possibilities. Adding inverse prices from only two of several correct scores is not a valid complete-market margin calculation.

Know the format

A deciding match tiebreak can replace an ordinary final set in some competitions. Read the competition format and the operator’s settlement definition before treating the display label as a conventional set.
